MADLABZ OPEN TOOLS · INSTALLATION GUIDE
Put a real web app inside your website.
Skip the screenshots. Live Embed gives visitors a working application inside a responsive frame, with no account or MadLabz-hosted demo service.
From your app URL to a working website embed.
Choose your app
Enter the public HTTPS address of an application you own or have permission to showcase.
Design your frame
Pick phone, desktop or clean mode. Add your app name, colour and optional logo.
Copy or download
Copy the self-contained embed snippet. Or download a complete HTML test page you can open and upload to your own site.
Publish and test
Paste the code in your website's custom HTML area and test the visitor experience on a real phone and desktop.
Where to paste the code.
WordPress
Custom HTML block
Open the page editor and add a Custom HTML block. Paste the complete generated snippet, save, then check the published page. Hosted WordPress plans or user roles may remove script tags.
Webflow
Embed element
Add an Embed element to your page, paste the entire snippet and publish. Check your account's custom code limits and ensure the application permits framing.
Custom HTML / developer site
HTML body
Paste the snippet into the desired section of the page body. The inline code initialises the component in place; no npm install or API key is required.
Squarespace / site builders
Custom code block, when supported
Add it where your plan and block type permit HTML and JavaScript. Some editors strip scripts or only run them after publishing.
Test on a website outside MadLabz.
Use the downloadable standalone HTML test.
In the builder, create your embed and tap Download your standalone HTML test. You will get a complete .html file containing your selected application and frame settings. It runs without requesting code or scripts from MadLabz.
For a genuine third-party check, upload that file to a hosting service you control, such as your own website or a static hosting service, over HTTPS. Test Launch, Expand, scrolling, navigation, sign-in behaviour and Open full app.
Open the builderWhat needs to be true for it to work.
The app permits embedding
The application must allow the host domain in its frame-ancestors Content Security Policy and must not block iframe display with X-Frame-Options.
Your site allows custom code
The published page must permit HTML, styles and JavaScript. Some site builders remove script tags or apply a Content Security Policy that blocks the app URL.
The app supports small screens
Live Embed responds to the surrounding column width, but it cannot repair an application's own mobile layout. Test actual functionality at phone width.
Sign-in may differ
Third-party cookies, browser tracking protection, and identity-provider policies can affect authentication inside iframes. Consider providing a guest/demo mode.
A useful five-minute QA pass.
The app launches only after the visitor clicks.
The actual app can be scrolled and used inside the frame.
Expand and Close work on iPhone and desktop.
Open full app leads to the correct original website.
A narrow page column does not squeeze navigation.
No private account, API token or admin page is included in your demo URL.
